During this period, TTF has supported and run many relief efforts despite the ongoing Covid crisis which has presented challenges for all charities in trying to offer assistance despite lockdowns and social distancing rules.

Among many activities , we organised a breakfast and medical program for school children in Silay City , Negros.

We also continued our regular support for the annual “Kilometre Zero” outreach mission which supports indigineous people in Albay , Legazpi.

Our traditional Christmas relief program was focused on the Dinagat islands where we did an outreach program with practical supplies.

We continued in our support of the Hospicio feeding and shelter for homeless people in Manila.

Typhoon Kammuri was one of the worst typhoons during the season and we travelled to the Bicol region and assisted with relief supplies.

The Taal volcano , located 50km south of Manila , erupted in January 2020 , resulting in a huge displacement of people into camps. We were able to travel to the region and helped with supplies of food , medical and other relief goods.

In February we participated in a feeding program in Pampagna co-sponsored by the Rotary Club feeding children living in poverty.

In addition , we have continued to donate cellphone equipment from the UK to the Philippines.

In 2018 , TTF were represented at the annual international conference at Gawid Kalinga , Angat. Over 400 delegates attended from 16 nations , as well as many corporate and political representatives. The conference discussed the growing importance of charitable social businesses in empowering people in poverty , giving them worthwhile work and promoting enterprise.
